CNN Award Show - Best Video of the Year
Every 30 minutes an Indian farmer commits suicide. In the last 16 years more than 250,000 farmers have committed suicide; making it ‘the LARGEST wave of recorded suicides in HUMAN HISTORY’. As part of my research on this subject for a script I travelled to India. My questions led me to a much-dreaded autopsy center. I covertly filmed inside the autopsy center. What I filmed was aired on CNN-IBN on their award winning prime time show “Citizen Journalist”. It was watched by millions of Indians and subsequently won CNN-IBN’s BEST VIDEO of the year award.
